Following a review of Wilbury Primary School, Marc Rowland, a foremost expert on use of the Pupil Premium and improving outcomes for disadvantaged learners, reported ‘Wilbury is an inspirational school…the practitioner is the intervention. The school is a model of high-quality inclusive practice where all staff and children thrive.’

An opportunity to learn from key school leaders at Wilbury about the excellent provision offered, and have the opportunity to see this in practice, including:

  • The importance of a whole school culture and approach, and effective implementation, in addressing educational advantage, Lisa Wise, Headteacher
  • Effective culture and implementation in Early Years, including an Early Years learning walk, Sophie Chaloner, DHT and EY lead
  • Wilbury’s highly successful reading beyond phonics programme and learning walk, Steph Sovaros, reading lead
  • How leaders support teachers and support staff to be the best they can be on a daily basis
