Behaviour Champions training series – Session 6: Demonstration over Dictation

Most challenging behaviour is rooted in a student’s inability to manage the behaviours that rise from strong emotions. It’s important to remember that children are still on the journey of learning how to regulate and respond to strong emotions.

A big part of our role as adults in schools is not just to dictate about how to behave appropriately but to demonstrate what it looks like to exercise Me Management; responsibility for our reactions.
