Event Series Event Series: HEP Level 1 Introduction to Coaching

Are you looking to grow a coaching culture in your school, where staff support one another’s professional development? Are your leaders prepared to drive change?

“Teachers only improve if they make a conscious, intentional plan to walk into a classroom and teach differently to how they did before…” Coaching in schools is increasingly becoming a strategy for bringing about change whilst demonstrating a commitment to continuing collaborations. Providing supportive yet challenging opportunities for reflection can move people forward in their thinking, raise standards of practice and develop positive relationships with the whole school community. The HEP Introduction to Coaching Course focuses on developing excellent listening skills, great questioning techniques and considers best ways of providing feedback. We explore ways of implementing a coaching culture across your school so that everyone can see the benefits of growing a safe, supportive and stimulating learning environment.

You must attend all four sessions of the course. They will be held in person in the HEP training rooms, all from 2pm-4.30pm:

  • Session 1 – 18th of April, 2pm – 4.30pm – TR1
  • Session 2 – 20th May, 2pm – 4.30pm – TR1
  • Session 3  – 6th  June, 2pm – 4.30pm – TR1
  • Session 4 –  4th July, 2pm – 4.30pm  – TR2
