Through the power of song and connected learning, we aim to give teachers the opportunity to support biodiversity in creative and active ways

We’re thrilled to share news about MEADOWSONG, a national primary teacher training program and resource package cantered on the YEAR 3 PLANTS topic. The programme is built around the YEAR 3 PLANTS topic, and the CPD day is aimed at Year 3 teachers as well as science & music leads.

Through the power of song and connected learning, Meadowsong CPD and resources give YR 3 teachers the opportunity to deliver the PLANTS science topic and support biodiversity in creative and active ways. This training session supports teachers and music specialists to stage a musical performance, plant a wildflower area to help pollinators, and deliver a rich programme of classroom and outdoor learning on this topic in the summer term.

  • One day training workshop for Y3 teachers, music and science leaders
  • Planning/resources for a half term of Science, English, Art, Music and Dance linked to the YR 3 Plants Science topic
  • Resources for outdoor learning activities including RSPB School’s Wild Challenge and WWF ‘Seek’ app
  • Music resourcing including piano score and backing videos for an assembly performance
  • Licence to enable the use of the Meadowsong music in participating schools
  • Bespoke resources for further development the following year in Haringey – including scores for the borough YR 4 instrumental programme
