Virtual Event Virtual Event

Worldviews and Religious Education, SMSC and cultural diversity remain incredibly important in our school life. RE teachers and coordinators desire to deliver the highest quality, challenging and engaging worldviews and Religious Education in schools. RE curriculums are required to be relevant to the pupils, Ofsted and our modern global society.
We aim to support you in this journey at the RE Network meeting: meet ‘virtually’, share good practice and network with other RE teachers coordinators to explore key questions, themes and issues:
This RE Network session aims to increase understanding of the diversity of worldviews within religion and provide a toolkit of ideas to help deliver religious worldviews in your classroom

We will be focusing on how to teach religious worldviews in Primary Schools:
• Exploring the meaning of worldviews- and the diversity of worldviews within religion
• Exploring the current data revealing information about the diversity of religious worldviews in our locality
• Looking at new resources together
• Exploring pedagogies for delivering religious worldviews
• Exploring some virtual tours and video interviews
• Sharing together the resources/ stories and ideas that you like to use in your schools to teach religious worldviews
• Upskilling for teachers/ non-specialist RE teachers
• Preparing for Ofsted
