The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework places emphasis on welfare and safeguarding standards, stipulating that regular staff supervision is a statutory requirement. Regular supervision improves outcomes for all children including vulnerable children and therefore supports staff’s well-being and performance.

This course will explore what is involved in the supervision of staff, including aims, principles and different models. Participants will be able to share practice as well as hear about established policies and procedures of supervision in the nursery schools
